FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions):
1. How long does it take to signup? The signup form only has 9 questions, only 7 of which take any actual filling out. It usually takes less then a minute.
2. How long does it take until my website can be viewed? Your website can be viewed within 2 seconds of completing the signup process.
3. Can i change the default page from index.html? Yes you can. You simply have to send a support request from http://www.tech-area.com/support.php asking us to change the default page from index.html to whatever page you desire and it’ll be setup for you.
4. How long can i not login for without losing my account? You must login atleast once every two weeks to prevent from losing your account.
5. Am I allowed to use my account for storage? No. Doing this is a violation of the TOS.
6. I never got my confirmation email, what should i do? Contact a staff member and they will activate your account. You can always contact the head director of Tech-Area.Com at webmaster@tech-area.net.
7. What are all the URLs to my website? The only two URLs to your website are
http://www.tech-area.com/h/yourusername
[and]
http://www.tech-area.com/?v=yourusername .
8. I have lost my password, what should I do? Fill out the form at: www.tech-area.com/lostpass.php and an email will be sent to you with your account information.
9. Do you take donations and/or will you allow me to advertise on your site? Please visit www.tech-area.com/advertise.php for information on advertisements, or www.tech-area.com/sponsors.php for information on making a donation.
10. What content is not acceptable on Tech-Area.Com hosted homepages? Please visit www.tech-area.com/tos.html and read our TOS (terms of service).
11. How many accounts can i have? Since we are only giving out a limited amount, you may only have 1 account. Failure to comply will result in a ban and termination of all accounts.
12. How do i work the file manager (uploading, editing files, moving files, etc...)? Below are some images you will see in the file manager, and what they do, as well as other information:
 - Click to copy a file to a new location.
 - Click to delete a file/folder.
 - This means that its a folder. Click the folders name open the folder.
 - Click to move a file to a new location.
 - Click to rename a file.
If you want to edit a file, click on it.
To view a file, click the [view] link to the right of the file.
To open a folder and edit its contents, simply click on the folders name.
13. Is XML, mySQL, PHP, CGI, Perl, etc. allowed on Tech-Area.Com hosted homepages? No. You may not use server side languages.
14. Can i forward my domain name to my Tech-Area.Com hosting account? Yes you can. Just send a support request from http://www.tech-area.com/support.php and our support staff will give you further instructions.
